<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system capable of enhancing working efficiency for executing printing processing using a special paper sheet by an image forming apparatus, and capable of preventing the special paper sheet used in the prescribed printing processing from being used in other printing processing excepting the prescribed printing processing, and to provide the image forming apparatus used therefor. <P>SOLUTION: When a standing-by signal is transmitted from an information processor 1 to the image forming apparatus 3 by a user operation (S3), the printing processing based on image information corresponding to the standing-by signal stands by in the image forming apparatus 3 (S13). Then, a user set the paper sheet in a paper feed cassette of the image forming device 3, and selects thereafter the printing processing under the standing-by (S14-S16).
