<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bottle cap which seals a material such as tea, in the bottle under a sealed condition and is unsealed upon drinking the material from the bottle, allows opening of the bottle without dropping a plug, and has a simple structure suitable for plastic molding. <P>SOLUTION: The bottle cap is composed of a lower cap member 12 screwed into the neck 10-1 of the bottle 10, an upper cap member 14 screwed into the lower cap member 12, and the plug 36 which closes a material storing chamber 34 formed on the upper cap member 14. By screwing the upper cap member 14 into the lower cap member 12, a communicating hole 32 on the side face of an inner cylindrical portion 26 of the upper cap member 14 is separated and cut off from a material casting hole 20 on a counter side face of an inner cylindrical portion 16, and is closed against the material storing chamber 34 of the upper cap member 14 containing the material. Upon drinking, the upper cap member 14 is turned relative to the lower cap member 12 to bring the communicating hole 32 on the side face of the upper cap member 14 direct counter to the material casting hole 20 on the counter side face so that the material is mixed and dissolved into water in the bottle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
