PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof housing having simple constitution where the operation ring of a lens barrel can be surely operated. SOLUTION: The waterproof housing is equipped with the cylinder part 7 of a lens barrel housing part in which the lens barrel is housed, a spiral rotating body 47 which is disposed so that a rotary shaft 42 may be at a torsional position with respect to the optical axis of the lens barrel so as to pass through the outer part and the inner part of the cylinder part 7 and where spiral projection 47c is formed on its peripheral surface, O-rings 45 and 49 holding the rotary shaft 42 and the cylinder part 7 in a watertight state, and a rotating handle 41 integrally attached to the rotary shaft 42 on the outer part of the cylinder part 7. By rotating the rotating handle 41 in a state where the spiral rotating body 47 abuts on the zoom ring 33 of the lens barrel, zoom driving is performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
