PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently removing a virus from a protein solution. SOLUTION: The method for removing a virus from a protein solution comprises flocculating the virus by adjusting the protein solution to a pH of below 6 and a conductivity of 7 mS/cm or below and keeping the solution in this state and passing the protein solution through a hydrophilic membrane having a membrane pore diameter larger than the diameter of the virus in a monodisperse state.
