A display device (1) includes: a display unit (10) having a display surface for displaying an image; a first micro capsule (16) having a first characteristic and displaying a first image (7) on the display surface (4) according to a first image signal corresponding to the first characteristic; and a second micro capsule (19) having a second characteristic which is different from the first characteristic and displaying a second image (8) on the display surface (4) according to a second image signal corresponding to the second characteristic. The first micro capsule (16) and the second micro capsule (19) are mixed in the display unit (10).
