PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve emission at a time of start of an internal combustion engine and to improve durability of a relief valve attached on a fuel pressure rising supply part. SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine can secure startability by using a correction coefficient based on atmospheric temperature Tdp near delivery pipe. A stop determination fuel pressure Pref is established S120, S130 as fuel pressure at which generation of vapor can be controlled, and the engine is stopped after fuel pressure Pf in the delivery pipe becomes less than the established stop determination fuel pressure Pref S140, S150. Consequently, degradation of emission because of discharge of fuel staying in a cylinder due to oil-seal leak as it is when the engine 22 is started next time is suppressed. Also excessive fuel pressure Pf in the delivery pipe can be prevented and operation of the relief valve is controlled to improve durability thereof. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
