PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a high frequency power amplifier which is used for a communication apparatus or the like and has a multiband function. SOLUTION: The high frequency power amplifier includes: a high frequency power amplification device 1; a first output path for connecting a fundamental frequency signal which is output from the high frequency power amplification device 1 to a first output port 5; a second output path for connecting a secondary signal utilizing a higher harmonic wave component of the fundamental frequency signal to a second output port 10; and switching means 8, 9, 12 for switching and connecting the high frequency power amplification device 1 to the first output path or the second output path.
