PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damages of an angle finder and the mount mechanism of a camera to which the angle finder is attached. SOLUTION: A torsion spring 21 has a function to energize a fixed pawl 22 in a direction going toward an optical axis and also to move the pawl 22 gradually in a direction going away from the optical axis when force stronger than the energizing force is applied from the pawl 22. When external force #1, #2 and #3 is applied to the angle finder 1 respectively, the pawl 22 is pressed by a fixing member 11, whereby the force of the pawl 22 in the direction going away from the optical axis exceeds the energizing force in the optical axis direction by the spring 21, and the pawl 22 retreats toward the inner wall of the finder 1. When the engagement of the member 11 with the pawl 22 is released, the finder 1 and the camera 3 are separated from each other. The invention is applied to the angle finder attached to the camera.
