The unit is assembled of a base (4), a clamping element (1) and a threaded bolt (3). The object (5) to be processed is positioned in a recess of the base (4) and the clamping element (1) inserted into a groove adjacent to the work-piece (5). A screw (3) is guided from the top into the clamping element (1) resting on an elastic ring (2). It is provided with a rear extension pressed against the inner surface of the groove and a front extension pressed against the outer surface of the work-piece (5). When the screw (3) is released the element (1) is automatically lifted by the ring (2).
