The snorkel has a mouthpiece (10) for holding the snorkel in the mouth of a swimmer. An air inlet line (20) with a one-way valve (30) in an inlet direction supplies the swimmer with fresh air for inhalation. An air outlet line (40) with another one-way valve (50) in a discharge opening direction exhausts the exhaled air of the swimmer separately from the fresh air. The inlet and outlet lines are arranged at an end of the mouthpiece.
