<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a communication environment more excellent than a conventional environment by improving antenna sensitivity and a communication distance. <P>SOLUTION: This communication system is provided with a non-contact IC card 50, and a reader/writer 1 for contactlessly reading/writing information from/to this IC card 50. The reader/writer 1 has an antenna substrate 10, a circuit substrate 20, and a soft magnetic body 30. The soft magnetic body 30 is disposed on the side opposite to a direction of radiating an electromagnetic wave for communication.
