<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device and a video camera in which deterioration in picture quality is suppressed by reducing dust attached to an EVF panel surface and scratches on the EVF panel surface,. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with: the EVF panel 2; polarizing plates 4 bonded to plastics substrates 3, disposed on optical paths of incident light to the EVF panel and of light emitted from the EVF panel; a casing upper part 5 with openings 11 formed on optical path regions of the incident light to the EVF panel and of the light emitted from the EVF panel; a casing lower part 6 to be engaged with the casing upper part; and a flexible board holding part 7, and the liquid crystal display device is constructed in such a way that the polarizing plates are disposed so as to close the openings and the EVF panel is spaced away from the polarizing plates and disposed in a nearly closed space formed of the casing lower part, the casing upper part, the polarizing plates and the flexible board holding part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
