PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punch which has a long life, and can stably manufacture threaded components, and is suitable for mass production of the threaded components. SOLUTION: The punch 1 for forming the head portion of the threaded component forms the head portion of the threaded component composed of the head portion serving as a driving portion, and a leg portion which is integrated with the head portion and has a thread formed thereon. The punch 1 is made of powder sintered alloy cemented carbide obtained by sintering a powdered body 26 which has been formed by compressing the powder material for manufacturing cemented carbide, and has a uniform density or different densities at an upper portion, a lower portion, an outside periphery portion, and a central portion. The punch 1 has a durability of about 5 to 7 times as large as that of a conventional punch made of high speed steel. As a result, the time for manufacturing the threaded components is reduced and their quality are stabilized because the work for changing the punches due to wear is drastically reduced. Further, the dispersion of the dimension due to the impact compression forming is reduced by the elongation of the life of the punch, and an operator can afford the time for carefully carrying out the work for changing the punch and for adjusting the setting of the punch, and the quality of the threaded components can be improved.
