Lift for staggered seating system especially for wheelchair users has a raising platform with height adjustable access steps

A lift system for incorporating into a staggered seating system provides access for wheelchair users. A scissors type lifting system under part of the seating raises a support platform (12) to a raised level (10) while at the same time raising access steps (5 to 9) to the same level, i.e. to provide access to the raised platform from a rear upper floor level for wheelchair users. The lift system is supported between four corner uprights.
