Process used to manipulate a virtual object relative to a curved surface uses physical characteristics

The virtual object, eg model, is to be positioned in contact with a tool surface [3] and will be moved to a fixed position. In a first step the object is moved using a virtual data hand glove [4] that has a sensor system. In order to determine if the object is in the correct position variable physical characteristics are used.
