PURPOSE:To improve system reliability against the occurance of failures and the like on electric car line sides by providing one set of what combines breakers with diode bridge circuits, to respective electric car lines of up-lines and down-lines whereby checking current flow from the breakers of opposite sides. CONSTITUTION:Two sets of diode bridge circuits 21 and 41 which are composed of respective four diodes 22a through 22d, and 42a through 42d are provided. And thyristor breakers 23 and 43 are connected between the commonly connected anode side of respective circuits 21 and 41 and the cathode side connected with a powering bus 7. Respective common contacts 26 and 27 of the diodes 22a and 22b, and 22c and 22d are connected with electric car lines (up-line) 9a and 10a, and respective common contacts 46 and 47 of the diodes 42a and 42b, and 42c and 42d are connected with electric car lines (down-line) 9b and 10b. And a direct current breaker 39 which is closed when either of breakers 23 and 43 fails, is provided. Furthermore two sets of stopper diodes 28 and 48 which are connected with a regenerating bus 29, is also provided.
