PURPOSE:To calculate an accurate air fuel ratio by generating one numeral correspondence table corresponding to a water carbon ratio for air fuel ratio calculation on an excessive concentration combustion side every time at least the numeral of the water carbon ratio varies, and storing only one numeral correspondence table in a memory and calculating an air fuel ratio. CONSTITUTION:A generative pumping current Ip from a detector 1 is inputted to a CPU 30 on the excessive concentration combustion side through a current voltage converting circuit 21, and A/D converting circuit 22, and an interface 29. The numeral correspondence table corresponding to a specific water carbon ratio is stored in the RAM of the memory 31. The CPU 30 calculates an air fuel ratio corresponding Ip by using the correspondence table and supplies it t a display device 26. On a thin concentration combustion side, on the other hand, a positive pumping current Ip is sent to the CPU 30. The CPU 30 calculates the air fuel ratio from Ip based on the water carbon ratio stored in the memory 31 and the oxygen sensitivity coefficient of a detector. |
