PURPOSE:To decide the moving direction of a proper parts when the robot working is planned by setting the parts name and the position data of an object parts data base used for planning the robot working in response to the parts form data of a three-dimensional form data base. CONSTITUTION:A shift command of an oblong material 22.2 is supplied to a computer 2 and the working plan of an industrial robot 5 is carried based on the attribute data and the form data on a working object stored in an attribute data base 1.1, 1.2 and a form data base 1.1 respectively. When the working plan is through with the computer 2, the robot 5 is driven to move the oblong material 22.2 to a prescribed destination from a point on a flat plate 21. Then the computer 2 searches the attribute data on the material 22.2 based on the tree structure of attribute data on a parts 20 described on a data base 2. The attribute data on the material 22.2 and each parts are changed in response to the shift value of said searching position while this position moves to parts 24.1-24.3 from the material 22.2. At the same time, the corresponding three- dimensional form data is also changed. Thus it is possible to decide the moving direction of a proper parts when the robot working plan is produced.
