PURPOSE:To simplify the mechanism and to easily form a uniform and stable thin film of electrified toner on a developing roller by pressing a film thickness control blade against a toner carrier. CONSTITUTION:A layer thickness control member is provided with a control blade 6 consisting of an electrifying member, a supporting plate 13, and a magnet plate 14. The control blade 6 has the base end supporting part attached to a casing 7 and is freely turned around a fulcrum 9, and magnetic materials are stuck to at least the position, which faces the magnet plate 14, of the middle part of the control blade. The supporting plate 13 is arranged approximately in parallel with the blade and has the base part fixed to the casing 7, and the magnet plate 14 is attached to the supporting plate 13 approximately in parallel with and a certain gap apart from the control blade 6, and middle parts of the front end part and the supporting part of the blade are attracted by the magnetic force. Thus, a stable pressing force can be set throughout a developing roll 4 in the breathwise direction to easily form a uniform and stable charged toner thin layer on the developing roll. |
