PURPOSE:To enable working such as printing, perforation, etc., conforming to various pattern length to be executed with one rotary body, by a method wherein a rotary speed of a rotary body is equalized to a paper feed speed in working time and is controlled by fluctuating it in non working time. CONSTITUTION:When a continuous paper 2 is drawn out from a paper feed roller 1 and transferred a first tractor 7, its feed amount is dedetected with a detector 18. A paper feed amount signal and a paper feed speed signal are sent to a machine cylinder drive part 20 respectively from a paper feed amount signal generation part 23 and a paper feed speed signal generation part 24 which received a detection signal. A machine cylinder 9 is rotated in a specific direction just before a formation scheduled position of fold and cut perforation corresponds to the machine cylinder 9. This rotation of the machine cylinder 9 is detected as a rotational position and a rotational amount of a servomotor 15, is fed back to the machine cylinder drive control part 20, and a speed command signal is outputted to the servomotor 15 so that the rotational of the machine cylinder 15 may become equal to a paper feed speed.
