The invention relates to a protective cabinet for a current-rectifying device used in installations for treating surfaces in a highly acid environment. The protective cabinet includes a front face 1, a rear face 2, and two side faces 3, 4, a top 5 supported by a frame 6 resting on the ground by means of feet 10. On the inside, it includes an upper part 11 hermetically isolated from a lower part 12, the said upper part including a box 13 of plug-in electronic boards, this box being arranged virtually at human-eye level and having an opening 14 located in the front face 1, and the said lower part 12 including, on the base of the frame 6, a device 17 for supporting a transformer 18 and, at human-arm level, at least one sheet-metal plate 19 mounted on the frame in order to support electronic power components 20. <IMAGE>
