PURPOSE:To make invitro decision of eye stimulativeness with good reproducibility by including a marker to be brought into contact with the material to be inspected in liposome to prepare a reagent for deciding the eye stimulus. CONSTITUTION:The liposome constitutes the bilayer endoplasmic reticulum of the lamela layer prepd. from specific lipid and is prepd. of 1): >=1 kinds selected from natural phospholipid, synthetic phospholipid, natural glycolipid and mixture composed of quaternary ammonium salt and higher alcohol and 2): >=1 kinds selected from neutral lipids. For example, lecithin which is the lipid of 1) and cholesterol or the like which is the lipid of 2) are used. The marker is used to detect a change in the film properties of the liposome by interaction with a material to be inspected. A compd. contg. K<+> ion, F<-> ion, etc., is used for said marker. The reagent is prepd. by including the marker into the liposome. The eye stimulativeness is evaluated by bringing this reagent into contact with the material to be inspected and detecting that the liposome film is broken and the marker is leaked. The simple determination of the eye stimulativeness is thus permitted.
