PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and decrease foggings by incorporating silver halide particles in which the average silver iodide content of the particles is higher than the silver iodide content in the outside margin phase of the particles and a specific compd. into a titled material. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide particles which have waving particle surfaces, are constituted of >=2 phases having different silver iodide contents and in which the average silver iodide content of the particles is higher than the silver iodide content in the outside margin phase of the particles as well as the compd. expressed by the formula I are incorporated into at least one silver halide emulsion layer. In the formula I, Z denotes an atomic group necessary for forming a 5- or 6-membered heterocycle consisting of a carbon atom, nitrogen atom, oxygen atom, sulfur atom, and selenium atom, the heterocycle includes the condensed heterocycle; M denotes a hydrogen atom, alkali metal atom or ammonium group. The sensitivity is thereby enhanced and the foggins are decreased. |
