PURPOSE:To produce the title promoter in high efficiency by purification of the cultured cell crushed product from a cell strain Namalwa cell of human B-lymphoma origin with an anion exchange resin and a hydroxyapatite column. CONSTITUTION:A cultured cell crushed product obtained by serum-free culture of a cell strain: Namalwa cell of human B-lymphoma origin is purified by a chromatography using an anion exchange column and a hydroxyapatite column, thus producing the objective antibody-producing promoter enhancing the antibody-producing ability of antibody-producing cells. The resultant promoter has the following characteristics: 1. molecular weight...ca.500.000 (determined by the gel permeation technique) and 2. isoelectric point...6.2 (determined by the chromato-focusing technique). This promoter is also stable at a pH8-12 along with the residual activity of ca.40% after heating at 70-100 deg.C for 30min. |
