The equipment is for off loading rod and plate shaped items from rollers of a roller track or support beams of a storage bed. The equipment consists of a lifting carriage with support bars for the items which is mounted between the rollers of the roller track or between the support beams of the storage bed. The lifting carriage consists of slide which partly embraces a driving rail rotatably mounted about its longitudinal axis. Attached to the slide are the support bars.
