PURPOSE:To obtain superconducting ceramics having improved sintering properties and superconducting characteristics free from tailing in a resistance- temperature characteristic curve approximately at critical temperature by forming an oxide having a composition comprising Bi2O3, SrO, CaO, CuO and CdO as component substances. CONSTITUTION:Superconducting ceramics comprising Bi2O3, SrO, CaO, CuO and CdO as component substances, having a composition formula shown by Bi2(Ca1-xCdx)2Sr2Cu3Oy wherein value Xm of mol% of CdO corresponding to x in the composition formula is in the range of 0<Xm<=7.5mol% is formed. A sintered material of low calcined particles having <=0.4m average particle diameter comprising Bi2O3, SrO, CaO and CuO as component substances, having a composition formula shown by Bi2Ca2Sr2Cu3Oy is formed as superconducting ceramics. |
