NEW MATERIAL:An anti-fibronectin receptor monoclonal antibody. USE:A reagent for measuring fibronectin receptor and a diagnosticum for liver diseases, cerebral infarct, etc. PREPARATION:For example, human placenta is cut into small pieces in a buffer solution, centrifuged, a fraction of supernatant liquid is collected, passed through a column to which fibronectin cell adhesion site sequence is immobilized and adesorbed material is eluted to give a fibronectin receptor. Then the fibronectin receptor together with adjuvant is administered to an abdominal cavity of mouse, the mouse is immunized and the spleen thereof is extracted after final immunization, a splenocyte is extracted, fused with a mouse myeloma cell and cultured in a HAT medium to give a hybridoma. Further the hybridoma is screened, cloned by limiting dilution into a monoclone, administered to an abdominal cavity of mouse, cultured, ascites thereof is collected and purified to give a monoclonal antibody.
