PURPOSE:To measure the diameters of pipes automatically, by sending the many pipes having different diameters to a measuring position by a conveyer and the like, stopping the pipes at a specified position once, and measuring the diameters by a sensor. CONSTITUTION:A measuring device for pipes having the different diameters is constituted by a pipe sending device 1, a chute 2, a rotary table 3 which stops the pipes, a sensor 4 which measures the diameters, and the like. A skid is used in the chain conveyer of the pipe sending device 1 in order to send the pipes 6, 7, 8, and so on having long sizes all the time in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the pipes. The pipe 6 is stopped at the measuring position once and the diameter is measured by the sensor 4. Thus the diameter of the pipe can be automatically measured. |
