PURPOSE:To obtain the entitled material good in decolorability, extremely small in fluctuation of dye concn. in a stagnant coating liquid during preparation of a photosensitive material, and prevented from halation and irradiation, by using a combination of three kinds of dyes. CONSTITUTION:The present silver halide photosensitive material contains a combination of three kinds of dyes having formulae I , II, and III in which R1 is carboxy, alkyl, aryl, alkylcarbonyl, or aryloxycarbonyl; R2 is alkyl or aryl substd. by sulfo or carboxy; R3-R6 are each H or optionally substd. alkyl; R7 is H, sulfo, carboxy, sulfoalkyl, or alkoxy; and R8 is sulfonate or sulfonate alkyl. When each of said dyes is used alone, it is unstable in the stagnant coating liquid. But, when a combination of the three dyes is used, its defect is avoided, good decolorability is attained, and halation and irradiation are also prevented. |
