PURPOSE:To protect housing against crack and to prevent deformation of bearing, when a bearing is fixed to the housing, by arranging the bearing and the housing having bearing seat coaxially then inserting the bearing into the bearing seat while applying ultrasonic vibration. CONSTITUTION:A bearing unit 1 comprises two bearings 2, 2 arranged coaxially and a housing 4 having bearing seats 3, 3 for supporting the bearings 2, 2. The bearing unit 1 is manufactured by applying ultrasonic vibration onto the bearings 2, 2 and the thermoplastic resin housing 4 having bearing seats 3, 3 arranged coaxially then inserting the bearing into the bearing seat under partially fused state. Then the bearing is adjusted to take a predetermined position with predetermined inclination with respect to the fused bearing seat. Thereafter, ultrasonic vibration is stopped and the fused portion is cooled and solidified thus securing the bearing to the bearing seat of the housing. By such arrangement, the housing is protected against breakdown and the bearing is protected against deformation when the bearing is fixed. |
