<p>PURPOSE:To let an alarm operate unless an alarm avoiding device is operated by a code number or the like and thereby prevent autotheft from occurring by installing the alarm in an engine switch circuit in a vehicle, and setting up the alarm avoiding device in a circuit for avoiding the alarm. CONSTITUTION:In the case of vehicles including an automobile or the like, an alarm 1 consisting of a buzzer and a light or the like is installed in a circuit for an ignition switch SW for starting a car-mounted engine. In addition, an alarm avoiding device 2 is set up in a circuit for avoiding this alarm 1. At this time, the alarm 1 is so constituted as to input data, for example, a password (code number) into a computer C. When a criminal, who is not aware of the password, operates the switch SW, an abnormal circuit is detected through a short to operate the alarm 1. Therefore any autotheft is alarmed so that it is preventable.
