PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity and preservability by providing an ink layer containing at least a heat-diffusive dye, a binder, polyethylene glycol and/or polypropylene glycol on a support. CONSTITUTION:A polyvinyl butyral resin and polyethylene glycol are respectively added to a cyan dye, a magenta dye and an yellow dye and the obtained respective dye solutions are dissolved in a liquid mixture of methyl ethyl ketone and toluene to obtain cyan, magenta and yellow inks. The obtained inks are applied to a polyethylene terephthalate base in the order of yellow, magenta and cyan to form ink layers to obtain a thermal transfer material. |
