Device for sedimentation and determination of the content of ferromagnetic contaminants in the measurement slit of a transformer sensor, containing a magnetizing coil inside which is located, coaxially, a differential transformer with EE-type core, with primary winding on the middle columns of the core, characterized in that the side columns of part of the EE-type core deviate by an angle of more than 10% in relation to the position of the middle columns, and the segmental secondary winding of the differential transformer is located symmetrically on these deviating side columns of the core and arranged in pairs connected in series, one (Z1Z'1) at the reference slit (So) and the second (Z2Z'2) at the measurement slit (Sp), these pairs being connected in a push-pull arrangement.<IMAGE>
