Utilising waste heat in diazo copier - using warm air provided by cooling fan to dry wet copies

The waste heat utilisation system uses a fan (8) for cooling the exposure device (2) for the copier material. The warm air stream provided by the fan is utilised for drying the copies obtained from the wet development stage (7), via a drying stage (14) following the latter. The drying stage (14) has an air distribution duct (16) supplying the warm air from the fan (8) to a discharge opening (13) and lying above and/or below the transport path (19) for the copies received from the development stage (7). ADVANTAGE - Saves energy required for electrical drying of wet copies.
