PURPOSE:To perform a high speed recording without a density drift in the case of monochrome recording and a color drift in the case of color recording regardless of the tip temperature of an LED, by controlling the light exposure time period of the LED corresponding to the tip temperature of the LED. CONSTITUTION:An enable signal consists of pulses which are generated in turn at light exposure time positions respectively corresponding to two or more density levels, and an enable signal generator 25 generates two or more enable signals ISN1-INSn for every temperature and inputs them to tips. Then, an enable signal selector 21c selects a specified enable signal corresponding to the temperature of light emitting element detected by a light emitting element, temperature detector 27 and inputs it to a light exposure pulse output part 21b. The light exposure pulse output part 21b outputs light exposure pulses to make an LED emit light until a pulse, which is included in the selected enable signals INS and corresponds to the dot density level value that is output from a dot density level indicator 23, is output. |
