发明名称 PROCEDIMIENTO PARA RECUBRIR OBJETOS MEDIANTE PULVERIZACIoN CAToDICA
摘要
501,500. Depositing substances by electric discharge. BERGHAUS, B. July 25, 1938, No. 22004. Convention date, Aug. 14, 1937. [Class 39 (i)] In the coating of articles by cathode disintegration use is made of a cathode which surrounds the articles on all sides. In the apparatus shown the whole of the inner surface 4 of the disintegration chamber 1 may be constructed and connected up as the cathode. The articles 13 to be coated are secured to a conductor 15 introduced in an insulated manner into the disintegration chamber and screened by a metal sleeve 20. The suspension devices are preferably constructed of the material to be disintegrated. The anode voltage may be applied to the conductor 15 whilst the metal sleeve 20 carries a negative voltage with respect to the conductor. Preferably, however, a negative voltage is applied to the conductor 15 whilst the metal sleeve 20 carries a positive voltage and serves as the anode, the articles being surrounded by a glow fringe. In the case of disintegration by alternating current the voltage is applied between the articles to be coated and the disintegration vessel. The disintegration chamber may be surrounded by a heating or cooling jacket and the conductor 15 may be formed hollow so that it may be cooled. If it is desired to disintegrate the cathode material in a glowing state the disintegration chamber may be surrounded in a vacuum tight manner by a second container in which the pressure is reduced to relieve pressure on the wall of the disintegration chamber. The disintegration chamber may be made solid of cathode materials such as iron, copper, nickel, magnesium or aluminium but in the case of expensive materials such as silver, gold, platinum or rhodium, or of materials which have not sufficient strength such as cadmium, beryllium, chromium, titanium, molybdenum, tantalum or tungsten the disintegration vessel may be coated with the materials on its inner wall. The articles may be subjected to a cleaning gas discharge before the disintegration.
