PURPOSE:To enable exchanging of an auxiliary valve which is connected to a pipe branched from a main pipe, and utilized for installation of a main equipment such as a fireplug under a condition of continuous water-flow. CONSTITUTION:Under a condition that an auxiliary valve is closed, an installation jig 6 is connected thereto. Then the auxiliary valve 3 is opened, and a cap-like body made of shape memory alloy is inserted into a branch pipe 2 by means of a hollow inserting bar 5 which is reciprocably supported to the installation jig 6 under a water-tight condition. After inserting, a hot water 12 is supplied into the cap-like body 8 through the inserting bar 5. The cap-like body 8 is then expanded and stop the water in the branch pipe 2. The auxiliary valve 3 is exchanged under a condition that the stopping is maintained and water-flow is continued in a main pipe 1. |
