The railway transport unit carrying a road-going load exhibits a carrying structure (1) including two longitudinal ends (2) and (3) each one connected to an axle unit (4, 5) via a composite interface (6, 7), and at least one of which is free according to an access opening (13) and mounted so that it can be detached from the adjacent axle unit for the purpose of forming access of passage for the load.
