The block has circuit components comprising a PTC resistor, on a substrate, which may be used to switch an electric circuit, w.r.t. temp.. The PTC resistor is in series with a melt fuse, and the resistor has a connection element to the melt fuse, which forms a protective wall section. The PTC resistor is pref. fixed to the substrate using a conducting silicone adhesive. ADVANTAGE - Simple and reliable.
