The invention proposes a process for the production and use of a curable (settable) cellular material of the type which includes a water-based powdery binder, characterised in that it consists in continuously making a mixture which includes a powdery binder, water and a foaming agent or a foam, then in injecting the pasty mixture thus made into a receptacle for use, such as, especially, a mould, a form or an excavation in which the curing of the mixture takes place.
