This nozzle is intended for the welding of gudgeons (1) onto a metal workpiece (2). It comprises a metal tubular body (3) into which a shielding gas is injected. At the end of the body (3), near the welding, an inner ring (6) made of refractory material is provided which makes an annular passage (11) between itself and the body (3). The ring (6) is held in place, coaxially with the body (3), by a piece (7) provided with circumferentially distributed openings (16), this piece connecting the rear region (12) of the ring (6) to the internal wall of the body (3). <IMAGE>
