The invention relates to a method and to an apparatus for directly injecting a sole (34) on a vamp (29) in order to form a shoe, according to which the vamp is mounted removably on a last which may be inserted into and removed from a die cavity, for injection of the said sole, at the moment of closure of the cavity, and an insole (32) is applied against the last on the surface facing the die cavity so that a peripheral edge (33) of the insole (32) is turned towards the cavity and is set (embedded) in the sole (34) during the injection stage. In a single operation, the invention produces a sole and a comfortable insole. <IMAGE>
