PURPOSE: To provide a supporting body for linear and two-dimensional acoustic converter arrays to prevent acoustic reflections of a circuit element. CONSTITUTION: This supporting body consists of a block, having a conductor 39 which extends between a conversion element 13 and a circuit contact 29, and this block has an acoustic characteristic for securing acoustic matching with the element 13 or to secure connection to the acoustic energy given from the conductor 39. The conductor 39 consists of plural thin layers or fibers and functions to prevent the acoustic connection into the conductor 39, by setting a contact at a position shifted from the center of the element 13. It is also possible to eliminate the acoustic energy from the conductor 39 by securing a impedance matching with the block material and covering the conductor 39 with a material, having a sound velocity lower than that of the conductor element. |
