The method includesg steps of; transmitting a dial signal corresponding to the one-touch dial key by reading it from the memory and then detecting if the current mode is a facsimile mode; determining if the transmitting manuscript is set; transmitting a picture of the set document when the manuscript is set in the scanner; processing the corresponding input key after finding that the signal of the input key is not the starting key signal; and transmitting a picture of the set manuscript when the manuscript is determined to be set, or performing a receiving operation when the manuscript is not set.
