<p>Membranes comprise at least one polymeric acid halide and before, during or after the membrane forming process, salts, metal oxides, metal hydroxides or their corresponding organic precursors are incorporated into the membrane. An independent claim is included for a process for the production of the membranes (I) by mixing a polymeric acid halide having SO 2X-, POX 2-, COX- or BX 2 groups (where X is F, Cl, Br, I) with metallo- or elemento-organic compounds in a dipolar aprotic solvent, preferably N-methylpyrrolidinone (NMP), N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc), N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) or sulfolane or in an ether solvent, preferably tetrahydrofuran, dioxane, glyme, diglyme and/or triglyme.</p> |
