An air-conditioner and a control method thereof are provided to control indoor temperature distribution uniformly by determining the spatial structure through an indoor image and controlling air current according to the form of a space. An air-conditioner comprises a photographing part(110), a space structural analysis part(130), a person sensor(150) and a controller(140). The photographing part comprises a photographing unit. The photographing part takes a picture of the inside of a room. The space structural analysis part analyzes image data photographed by the photographing unit. The space structural analysis part determines the spatial structure of the inside of the room. The person sensor analyzes image data. The person sensor produces the presence of the person in the room and location information of the person in the room. The controller controls air current to uniform indoor temperature distribution. The controller discharges the cool and hot air based on location information. The controller changes and controls one or more operation options among preset temperature, the direction of wind, and the speed of wind. |
