PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capture software program and a capture device capable of increasing the amount of screen data that can be saved as log. SOLUTION: Information on active screen data displayed on a screen is acquired, and the active screen data are captured when determined that the active screen data are from application software to be captured based on the information on the screen data. In taking the difference between a current active screen and a screen region other than the current active screen, and a last active screen retrieved immediately before the current active screen and a screen region other than the last active screen and retrieving the difference data as screen data, if the last active screen is positioned in the screen region other than the current active screen, the last active screen is included in the screen region other than the current active screen to carry out difference processing.
