<p>The present invention relates to methods for manufacturing of fully densified nanocrystalline metal oxide ceramic materials at low sintering temperature. Methods of the invention involve dry compaction of a product resulting from hydrothermal treatment of metal ion suspensions and subsequent sintering. The present invention may produce ceramic bodies that exhibit nanocrystalline structural features with measured densities that are found to be extremely similar to the theoretical density.</p>
