PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic pattern detection device certainly detecting the kind or presence/absence of a magnetic pattern on various kinds of media with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: This magnetic pattern detection device 100 detecting the magnetic pattern from the medium 1 has a common sensor part 20 for detecting the presence/absence of each magnetic pattern in the medium 1 of the plurality of kinds of magnetic patterns each having different remanent magnetic flux density and magnetic permeability based on both a remanent magnetic flux level and a magnetic permeability level. The sensor part 20 has: a magnetic field application part 30 applying a magnetic field to the medium 1; and a magnetic flux detection part 40 detecting magnetic flux in a state that a bias magnetic field is applied to the medium 1 after the application of the magnetic field.
