PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a uniform gas introducing amount with respect to each cylinder while responsiveness in gas introduction is maintained even in the case of an internal combustion engine having a plurality of banks.
SOLUTION: Both in the right and the left banks, inlet holes 22b-27b for an exhaust gas from an EGR pipe 36 are in low-pressure regions L. This causes the inlet holes 22b-27b for the exhaust gas to be formed in positions where the pressure of a suction gas flowing in each branch pipe 22-27 in different banks is made low and thereby made equal. Accordingly, a uniform exhaust gas introducing amount can be distributed to each of different cylinders of the two banks. Because the inlet holes 22b-27b are not formed in the common suction passage before branching, i.e. the upstream of a surge tank, the responsiveness in introducing the exhaust gas can be maintained without causing deterioration.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
